North Texas is preparing for one of the biggest weeks on the professional pickleball calendar.

The Pickleball World Championships 2026 return to Brookhaven Country Club in Farmers Branch, Texas, with championship competition scheduled for November 2–8. The larger Worlds experience begins October 30 with the inaugural MLP Nations Cup, creating more than a week of professional competition, amateur play and pickleball-focused events in the Dallas area.

For North Texas players, Worlds offers an opportunity to see the highest levels of the sport without leaving the Dallas-Fort Worth area. For amateur competitors, it also provides the unusual opportunity to compete at the same venue where many of the sport’s leading professionals will take the court.

Here is what players and fans should know before Worlds arrives in Texas.

When Are the Pickleball World Championships 2026?

The 2026 Opendoor Pickleball World Championships take place November 2–8 at Brookhaven Country Club in Farmers Branch.

Professional competition is scheduled to progress throughout the week:

  • Monday: Qualifiers
  • Tuesday: Round of 64
  • Wednesday: Round of 32
  • Thursday: Round of 16
  • Friday: Quarterfinals
  • Saturday: Semifinals
  • Sunday: Championships

Final bracket schedules are expected after player registration closes.

The venue will also host amateur competition, allowing recreational and tournament players to participate in the broader Worlds experience alongside professional play. Registration for the main tournament is scheduled to close October 26, 2026.

Worlds Begins With the MLP Nations Cup

Competition actually begins before the traditional Worlds bracket.

From October 30 through November 1, Brookhaven will host the inaugural MLP Nations Cup, an international team event featuring regional squads representing the United States, Canada, Asia, Europe, South America and Australia.

The event serves as the official kickoff to Worlds and brings a team-based format to the opening weekend. Minor League Pickleball competition will also be held on the grounds during the Nations Cup.

That creates a continuous stretch of pickleball from October 30 through November 8 rather than a single weekend tournament.

Why Brookhaven Has Become an Important Pickleball Venue

Brookhaven Country Club has become closely associated with professional pickleball in North Texas.

Farmers Branch has hosted the Pickleball World Championships since 2023, making 2026 the fourth consecutive year the event has been staged in the city. Local officials expect daily attendance during the event to range from approximately 2,000 to 8,000 people.

For Worlds, Brookhaven will feature two show courts along with dozens of competition and practice courts. The event grounds will also include Pickleball Boulevard, food areas, a music stage, vendor displays and spectator amenities.

The result is an event designed to function as more than a tournament. It combines professional competition with amateur participation, entertainment, brands and the wider pickleball community.

How Big Has Pickleball Worlds Become?

Recent attendance demonstrates how quickly the event has expanded.

The 2025 championships attracted more than 60,000 fans and 4,400 participants from 38 countries, with more than 6,000 matches played during the event.

Those numbers illustrate the changing scale of competitive pickleball.

Major events increasingly bring together several parts of the sport at once: professional athletes, amateur competitors, equipment brands, recreational players and fans.

For Dallas-Fort Worth, that growth also reinforces North Texas’ increasingly visible role in the pickleball industry.

Amateur Players Can Compete Where the Pros Play

Worlds is not exclusively a spectator event.

Amateur players can register for competition at Brookhaven and play on the same event grounds used for professional matches. The tournament includes multiple divisions and skill levels, creating an opportunity for players outside the professional ranks to experience a major pickleball championship environment.

For players preparing to compete, the weeks leading into Worlds are a good time to focus on consistency rather than making major last-minute changes.

Tournament preparation should emphasize reliable serves and returns, repeatable third-shot patterns, transition-zone control, kitchen positioning and communication between doubles partners.

Equipment familiarity matters as well. Tournament week is generally not the ideal time to begin adjusting to an unfamiliar paddle.

Players evaluating their setup before competition can review Pro-Line’s guide to choosing a pickleball paddle for spin or learn more about how BalanceLock technology adjusts paddle balance and stability.

Worlds Highlights the Growth of Dallas Pickleball

Hosting a major professional championship for a fourth consecutive year places North Texas in a significant position within competitive pickleball.

The Dallas area now combines professional teams, major tournaments, dedicated facilities, recreational leagues and pickleball businesses within the same regional market.

Pro-Line Paddle is part of that local ecosystem. Headquartered in Dallas, Pro-Line develops paddles designed around different combinations of power, spin, control and customizable balance. Players interested in becoming more involved with the brand can also explore the Pro-Line Player Program.

Texas Is Getting Ready for Worlds

The Pickleball World Championships 2026 will bring professional athletes, amateur competitors and thousands of spectators back to North Texas.

From the MLP Nations Cup beginning October 30 to championship Sunday on November 8, Brookhaven Country Club will become one of the centers of the pickleball world.

For local players, Worlds provides more than an opportunity to watch elite competition. It offers a close-up look at how the game is evolving—and another indication of how firmly pickleball has established itself in Dallas-Fort Worth.
